Materials Needed:
- Recommended oxygen-based cleaner (e.g., B Brite)
- Sanitizer
- Soft cloth or sponge
- Towel or soft cloth for drying
- VineTap cleaning tools
- Clean empty wine bottles
Cleaning Process:
- Initiate Cleaning Mode:
- Access the touchscreen interface.
- Navigate to the “Cleaning” or “Maintenance” section.
- Select “Start Cleaning” to initiate the automated cleaning process.
- Pre-Cleaning Checks:
- Ensure the wine tap is disconnected from the wine bottle.
- Ensure that the stainless steel drip pan is in place.
- Keep the stoppers open and not sealed.
- Cleaning Solution Preparation:
- Mix the recommended oxygen-based cleaner (e.g., B Brite) following the instructions on the container.
- Clean Wine Tubes and Faucet:
- Pour 6-8 ounces of the cleaning solution into clean empty wine bottles.
- Follow the prompt on the screen to reconnect the bottles.
- Select “Start” to allow the solution to run through the system.
- Rinse with Hot Water:
- Fill each wine bottle with hot water to be run through the system
- Follow the prompt to reconnect the bottle.
- Select “Start” to allow hot water to rinse the system.
- Prepare and Apply Sanitizer:
- Follow the instructions to prepare the sanitizer
- Repeat steps 4-5 with the sanitizer, allowing 3 minutes of contact in between rinses.
- Rinse Again:
- Rinse the system thoroughly with full wine bottles of hot water.
- Follow the prompt to reconnect the bottle.
- Select “Start” to ensure complete rinsing.
- Remove Faucet Assembly:
- Disconnect the faucet assembly from the thru-wall.
- Soak faucet assembly with the cleaning solution and Sanitize solution then rinse
- Clean Quick Disconnects:
- Clean all extra quick disconnects with warm water. Do not use soap.
- Dry
- Brush Cleaning:
- Use the supplied bottle brush to clean inside the thru-wall and upper portion of the wine spout
- Use the smaller bottle brush to clean inside the stainless steel spout.
- Reinstall Faucet:
- Reinstall the faucet assembly into the thru-wall.
- Final Rinse:
- Follow the screen prompts for the following:
- Rinse wine bottles and fill with clean hot water.
- Reconnect wine bottles
- Dispense a full bottle of water through each faucet
- Drain all water from the faucet and tubes by running the system dry.
- System Readiness:
- Your VineTap system is now ready for use.
Additional Tips:
- Use only the recommended cleaning and sanitizing agents
- Follow the specified cleaning frequency (recommended monthly or as needed).
- Store chemicals safely and follow guidelines for handling and storage.
- Be cautious about potential discoloration of laminate surfaces when using disinfectants.
- The WineTap should be rinsed and cleaned with cleaning solution after each use. The full cleaning cycle should be done monthly.
- Do not use soap as it can impact the taste of your wine.
